Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Nightjar ("we") collects, why, and what you can do about it. Nightjar is operated by SYNCHUBB INNOVATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, registered office LN-4, HN-6, Tola - Bhagwanpur, Block - Musahri, Patahi (Muzaffarpur), Bandra, Muzaffarpur - 843113, Bihar, India.

What stays on your computer

Your resume, job description, notes, settings and interview transcripts are stored only on your computer, in the app's settings folder. Sign-in tokens and API keys there are encrypted with Windows' built-in protection.

What passes through our servers but isn't stored

During an interview, the app sends audio segments, the recent transcript, your resume, the job description and (if you use Screenshot) a screenshot to our server, which forwards them to our AI provider to produce transcriptions and answers. We do not store this content or write it to logs. Our AI provider processes it to return the result.

What we store

• Account: your Google account email and a user ID, from Google sign-in.
• Interview sessions: start, end and expiry times, and the number of answers, used to run sessions and to enforce time limits and fair-use limits.
• Device identifier: a one-way hash of your computer's ID, so the free trial is available once per computer. It can't be turned back into the original ID.
• Purchases: order ID, amount, number of interviews bought and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment provider; we never receive them.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase (sign-in and database) · Cloudflare (website and server hosting) · Groq (AI transcription and answers) · Cashfree Payments (payments) · Google (sign-in).

Some of these providers process data outside India. We share only what each needs to provide its service.

How long we keep it

Account and session records are kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Interview content isn't kept at all.

Your choices and rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent. Email divyanshu.work914214@gmail.com from your sign-in address; we reply within 7 days. Deleting your account removes your account, session and device records; purchase records we must keep by law are retained for that period only.

Children

Nightjar isn't intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We'll update the date above when this policy changes, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.
